Julys lessons in blogging

July has seen a big learning curve in self hosting blogs so if you need lessons in blogging then read on.

With my mentor Tim Stevens I opened a second site friendlytravelguide.com for which we are looking for guest bloggers who would be most welcome to add links to their own sites and further lessons in blogging.

My Seo knowledge had grown a little too, with terms such as long tail keywords in my vocabulary and my understanding and I’ve also realised that keywords are not just words they can be phrases but correct me if I’m wrong they need to be searchable terms with no stop words such as, the, and etc etc.

Crowdfire, buffer and hootsuite are three apps that do your distribution to social media for you, you can pay extra but personally I don’t see much point.

The weekend for obvious reasons is my busiest day for visitors but it’s still onĺy in the 200s but it’s growing.

I had a spam email today that at first made me laugh but now im not so sure it offers to drive targeted audience to your sites is that genuine traffic though and more importantly is it worth the monthly fee.

Stella the Staff, waiting for her bf Rocky

SHerlock in his classic listening pose

Most of my blogging concerns the world’s first and only consulting detective Sherlock Holmes, the odd post about Stella my dog

and as it says in the blurb anything and everything that irritates or inspires me.

I shall in time divide my blogs up so they’re more within a niche than as random as they are.

I’ve also learnt that it is difficult to find new angles on the same theme so I’ve cut down the posts about Stella unless something utre happens.

I shall continue this monthly episodic of  lessons in blogging about my leaŕning process in the world if blogging, and I am by far not an expert so don’t take my words as gospel however all the time I continue to enjoy blogging I shall continue my blogs and therefore my lesson in blogging will be something I continue to learn and further shall post about.

Autumn is coming so watch out for more posts about Stella and our walks in the woods as the leaves turn brown and my legs get covered up.

Another lesson I learned this month is that Adsense have no warnings they just ban you for a period of time fur other people’s activity which I do find strange. Don’t bother with infolinks unless you are a mega big blogger who has a large following.

Suggestions for advertising revenue would be gratefully received and how I can add any adverts I may get thru my own efforts.

Callam Has Alopecia Areata

I also did one post this month that is more like I would like to use this site, for young Callam about Alopecia-areataso if you are wanting to make people aware of anything I’m your man but if it’s not a charitable event I may makes smal charge via paypal.
Please pay a visit to my other site friendlytravelguide.com and let us know if you have any ideas or input you could turn into a guest post or 3.
